As an important component of higher education, the fundamental task of ideological and political education for college students is to cultivate new era college students with noble morality, firm beliefs, and a good sense of social responsibility. The shaping of values is one of the core goals of ideological and political education for college students, which directly affects their life choices, behavior patterns, and future development directions. In this regard, the article first analyzes the inherent connection between ideological and political education and value shaping, and based on this, explores strategies to strengthen ideological and political education and value shaping for college students, in order to promote their comprehensive development and social progress.
